Community Objectives Workshop - Updates & Ongoing Work

Your Team Ward 9 has been relentlessly working since the start of 2016 to bring Community Objectives Workshop - lovingly known as COWs - to all of the incredible communities that we represent.

To date, we have hosted 7 workshops and have one left to go before we have completed all the Ward 9 neighbourhoods. Below you will find the list of dates and communities for each COW,

  • February 20, 2016 - Erlton, Rideau-Roxboro & Parkhill
  • March 12, 2016 - Bridgeland-Riversde & Renfrew
  • April 9, 2016 - Millican-Ogden-Lynnwood
  • May 14, 2016 - Inglewood & Ramsay
  • September 17, 2016 - Riverbend
  • October 15 2016 - Fairview & Acadia
  • November 5, 2016 - Tuxedo Park & Winston Heights-Mountview
  • January 28, 2017 - Dover

Coming out of each  Community Objectives Workshop, your Team Ward 9 collected all the questions, concerns, and comments on what people thought about their neighbourhoods and their hopes for the future. Each item was individually written out on a post-it note during one of the exercises in the COW and then later parsed out into themes by participants.

We have transcribed all of this data into individual documents - called Raw Data Reports - and are in the process of incorporating these into a larger strategic document for Ward 9.

Raw Data Reports

What's Next?

Each of these Raw Data Reports essentially provides your Team Ward 9 our 'marching orders' for each of our communities. Many of the ideas are short, medium and long term tactical and strategic projects. Some are things that community members, residents, businesses and social institutions can work towards, as well.

Your Team Ward 9 has started working on many of these items and will bee providing updates as projects are completed. We will also be using our Raw Data Reports to create a larger strategic document for Ward 9 so we can continue to pursue our Great Neighbourhoods mission at City Hall on behalf of our Ward 9 neighbours.
