Tuxedo Park
The only Ward 9 neighbourhood in Calgary’s North West, Tuxedo Park is special in more ways than one. Tuxedo Park is located north of 16th Avenue North and west of Edmonton Trail, and is incredibly diverse and, like many of Ward 9’s neighbourhoods, is home to many of the City’s historic bungalows and tight-knit communities.
Tuxedo Park is also host to one of the City’s best Canada Day celebrations- we encourage you to put its pancakes and burgers to the test!
In light of his Italian roots, Alderman Carra regularly frequents Lina’s Italian Market on 21st Avenue & Centre Street- should you ever see him there, ask him to treat you to a Panini or a pastry to go with your Caffe Macchiato.

Community Visioning
This is a neighbourhood with many exciting opportunities and challenges. The North Central LRT planning (which will develop Centre Street as an Urban Corridor), the pressing need to address significant storm water issues in the community, the development of a neighbourhood corridor character along the Edmonton Trail border it shares with Winston Heights-Mountview, and the established plans for the 16th Avenue Urban Corridor will all drive future visioning for Tuxedo Park.
