How does the typical Albertan view politics? Share Your Voice, Shape the Conversation
This summer, the team at Common Ground is hitting the road to hear directly from Albertans about how they see their province, politics, and future. With so much change over the past year, this is a timely opportunity to connect, listen, and better understand what matters most to people across Alberta.
Common Ground is a research initiative based out of the University of Alberta that studies the state of political culture across western Canada, combining conventional surveys with community-based focus groups, school-based youth engagement, public opinion surveys, and coffeehouse conversations.
Community focus groups are scheduled in the following locations:
Edmonton – July 2 & 3
St. Paul – July 9
Lloydminster – July 10
Lethbridge – July 29
Hanna – July 30
Calgary – August 5 & 6
Grande Prairie – August 12
High Level – August 13
Fort McMurray – August 14
If you live in or near one of these communities, you’re invited to take part in a small group conversation to share your experiences and perspectives. Your voice helps shape a broader, more accurate picture of Alberta today. To register or learn more about the project, visit commongroundpolitics.ca
