Curbside Treasure Hunt: Discover, Share, and Reuse! September 6 + 7.
The City of Calgary is excited to welcome back the Curbside Treasure Hunt - a citywide weekend of giving, finding, and reusing. On September 6 and 7, 2025, Calgarians are invited to set out gently used, reusable items for neighbours to pick up and enjoy. Think of it as a giant, free garage sale that spans the entire city!
This event is all about keeping good items out of the landfill, while helping people find something new to love. Whether you’re looking to declutter, hunt for hidden gems, or just explore your neighbourhood, the Treasure Hunt is your chance to take part in a fun, sustainable weekend.
How it works:
Gather – Find reusable items in your home that you no longer need.
Label – Mark them with a clear “Free” sign.
Place – Set them at the curb on September 6 and 7.
Discover – Walk your neighbourhood and see what treasures others have put out.
Clean up – Remove any leftovers after the event. Visit calgary.ca/whatgoeswhere to learn how to recycle, donate, or dispose responsibly.
The Curbside Treasure Hunt is a fun, sustainable way to bring neighbours together, reduce waste, and discover something unexpected. Mark your calendars and get ready to share your treasures—or find your next great one!
