Summer Youth Programming At The Bunker YYC
The Salvation Army East Calgary Community Hub has a new youth program called The Bunker. They wll be hosting a variety of events geared towards kids ages 13-17 in East Calgary throughout the summer. Check out some of their offerings below, or visit their events calendar for more info on these and other community-focused programming.
Racket Rumble
Every Monday | 4:30–6:30 PM
Youth can get active and try out a mix of racket sports like badminton, pickleball, and table tennis – no experience needed!Games Night
Every Wednesday | 4:30–6:30 PM
Board games, video games, and a chill space to unwind. It’s a great chance to meet new people and just have some fun mid-week.Art Lab – Embroidery Edition
Tuesday, May 20 | 5:30-7:30
A monthly creative workshop - This month participants will dive into embroidery, no previous experience needed, just come ready to create and express yourself.Hangtime Fridays
Every Friday | 4:30–6:30 PM
A flexible weekly drop-in event. Youth can choose from a variety of activities – sports, video games, crafts, and more – all happening in one big space.
Summer Camp Registration at the Bunker YYC is Now Open!
The Bunker YYC will be running three weeks of afternoon summer camps in July and August,
Cost: $5 per week per youth
Family Rate: No matter how many children or how many weeks you attend, each family will pay a maximum of $20 total for camp registration. Example: If you have 3 children attending all 3 weeks of camp, your total cost is still just $20 for the whole family.
Spaces is limited, so sign-up early.
