As part of the Chestermere 17 Avenue S.E. Water Meter Chamber project, we will be installing a new water meter and accompanying chamber along 17 Avenue S.E. near the city limits and are decommissioning an existing one.
We will also be conducting work for a separate project which involves the installation of a watermain connection.

The Bridgeland Mainstreet Project will be installing underground utilities at the 9A Street intersection along the north side of 1 Avenue N.E. To complete this work, a temporary road closure is required. On either May 30 and 31, OR June 1 and 2, 9A Street between 1 Avenue and 2 Avenue N.E. will be closed for construction. Please note that the exact timeline for this work has not yet been finalized; therefore, two sets of dates are provided above. The date will be determined based on scheduling and crew availability.

The City of Calgary is prepping to begin work on planned road maintenance along 18 St SE from 21 St SE to 66 Ave SE.
North Star Contracting is scheduled to begin milling and paving activities on 18 St SE on May 30, 2024, with completion in late June. (Pending favorable weather conditions.)
During construction, crews will be working during nighttime hours, from 9pm. to 5am, Monday to Sunday, to ensure timely completion.

Ogden Road from 76 Avenue to 80 Avenue SE will be closed for catch basin upgrades starting Saturday, May 25 at 6:00 am until the evening of Sunday, May 26.
This project requires the closure of Ogden Road SE from 76 Avenue to 80 Avenue SE to traffic and pedestrians to ensure efficient, safe, and timely construction.
Ogden Road SE will be closed to all but local traffic between 76 Ave and 78 Ave SE.
Transit stops will be temporarily relocated on Ogden Road SE north of 76 Ave SE and there may be some parking restrictions in effect.
The Inglewood Aquatic Centre has been identified as one of 13 City-operated recreation facilities that require major electrical repairs. While there is no safety risk for customers or staff accessing the facility, there is a risk the electrical system could unexpectedly fail. In consideration of Council’s prior decision to permanently close the facility and to reduce the risk of sudden impacts to customers and swim clubs, Inglewood Aquatic Centre will close on December 22, 2024.
